Nikki studied at The Ithaca College School of Music graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance. After college she moved to New York City to continue her pursuit of a life in the arts. She sang in professional groups and musicals including the Early Music Foundation of New York and Definitely Dickens Holiday Carolers performing at venues such as Escada 5th Avenue and Grand Central Station for a Skype Promotion. Nikki appeared in cabaret shows both with U-Turn Productions in Chicago and in her own one-woman show “14 Faces” at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre in NYC’s Greenwich Village. Her album “Use What You Got” was recorded at Lofish Productions.
In more recent years, she's performed with professional groups and musicals around the CNY area. She sang with the R & B band Solstice and The Honey Child Soul Quintet. The group was a recipient of an IPEI Grant to launch the Music for Unity and Social Change Project. She played a leading role in an original musical called “One October Midnight” which held its premier at the Auburn Public Theater. She later performed her one-woman show “The Un-Valentine’s Day Cabaret” at the same location.
Nikki’s held many different roles in the performing arts including experience with stage managing and casting. She's taught voice, flute, theater, dance and has musically directed shows. As a flute player, she performs with the Auburn Chamber Orchestra. Her experience includes voiceover and on camera work and she’s starting to help produce albums and tv shows.
Her work has also crossed into the visual and healing arts. She worked in an administrative capacity at the Schweinfurth Art Museum, juried a show for the Cayuga Museum and currently serves as a member of the Public Arts Commission in Auburn, NY. Nikki’s taught multiple workshops about wellness and personal growth. She’s spent several years counseling students through the college admissions process, as well.
Nikki recently earned an MBA from Fitchburg State University. She decided to combine her variety of experiences and become a certified Career Coach. She started Everything’s s Business, LLC, a career coaching business focused on practical advice for those going into creative careers. You can find out more at everythingsabusiness.com.
